Pramil Verma, the GM of mElimu meets His Excellency William Ruto, Deputy President of Higher Education, Kenya. The purpose of the meeting was to demonstrate the value of mElimu as a solution to the higher educational institutions. Pramil presented the features and uses of mElimu platform and services that can help universities and colleges in Kenya deliver education with the help of technology. The Deputy President expressed his interest in the solution and appreciated efforts behind it.

The platform and services mElimu offers is with the intent to make higher education available to those who aspire to get a degree but are unable to do so for different commitments. mElimu also makes it affordable for universities to host such programmes by providing its turnkey solutions.

In the meeting with His Excellency William Ruto, Pramil explained the different functionalities of the platform from student, teacher and university point of view. He said, “The solution is designed for the joint benefit of students, teachers and institutions. Use of technology in higher education, especially a distance learning programme can not only improve the quality of delivery, but also let students have a close-to-classroom experience”.
