mElimu receives the final pilot test report and certificate of testing from NI3C (National ICT Innovation and Integration Centre), Kenya. The pilot test was conducted in two schools, St. Michael’s Primary School and Moi Avenue Primary School and involved 250 students and 8 teachers. The NI3C said the mElimu solution to be innovative and motivating to the students. It also stated that mElimu increases the interest of the students in learning and grasping information. As per the report, mElimu will help in the improvement of quality of education and delivery of curricula.

The solution offered by mElimu has the vision to improve the quality of education by introducing the use of technology in delivering education. The platform and devices are designed keeping in mind the problems faced in Kenya and other Eastern African countries.

Rajeev Gupta, CEO of mElimu expressed his pleasure in getting the certificate of testing and that the solution was found worthy by the NI3C. He said that the solution can help the nation solve many challenges faced by the education sector. “We thought of ICT-enhanced education as a solution to many issues in the education sector in Kenya and Africa”, he added.

The company wants to be able to deliver the solutions to as many education institutions possible so that students, teachers and the educational institutions can make use of it.
